Featured Love :: Angela & Patrick :: Enchanted Lovers

Today's blog holds a dear place in my heart!  The "Featured Love" this week features the engagement photo shoot of my Honey and I!  The shoot was on location in downtown Atlanta in a cozy park tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city scene.  Our photographer, Afolabi Sogunro of Fotos by Fola, did an incredible work capturing our love through still images.  Our theme:  city chic with southern sophistication! We are thrilled with our photographs and are elated to share our love and happiness with you!  Enjoy!

Turning your beauty routine into a royal affair...

From the heels of the wedding that rocked the world, our resident makeup maven, Rhonda, dishes out the royal treatment for turning your beauty routine into a royal affair!

Many women consider blue hues a trend of the 80's.  However, royal colors have made a majestic comeback in 2011.  Celebrity mavens are bringing back the retro look, accenting with layers of shimmer and sparkle.

When creating your royal look, be sure to keep it simple.  Keep your colors within the same color family and tone down your blush and lips, while allowing your eyes to be the main focus.  Don't be afraid to experiment with different shades of blue.  Add shimmer to the eyelid to transition your look from day to night.

Here are a few ways to create your own royal look:

This non-traditional winged indigo eye.

A classic light blue sparkle shadow with bottom lash accent in blue and silver creates a romantic fairytale look.

For a more edgy, dramatic look, combine navy hues with shades of black and gray in the crease of the eye.

Beauty tip of the week:  When creating your royal blue eye, accent the lips with a nude, satin lipstick and clear, shimmery lip gloss overlay.

Beautifully yours,

Rhonda
